Grilled Lobster Tails with Garlic Herb Butter Print Email


2 petite lobster tails, split and thawed
2 TBS butter, melted
1 clove garlic, pressed
dash of paprika
dash of crushed red pepper
pinches of white pepper
pinches fresh tarragon, thyme or dry herbs of your choice

1 tsp. parsley, minced
2 lemon wedges

Have your butcher split lobster tails on saw, then thaw in refrigerator overnight (or thaw and remove thinner shell under body with kitchen shears and bend backwards to crack). Heat grill. Combine butter with garlic, paprika, peppers and herbs. Taste and adjust as desired.

Grill lobster tails over medium coals, brushing with seasoned butter until just done, approximately 6-10 minutes for split tails, slightly longer for whole tails. Plate, dollop with more of the compound butter, sprinkle with fresh parsley and garnish with lemon wedges.
