Spanish Ham & Cheese Print Email

Crusty bread, warm jamon serrano and melted cheese with ripe tomatoes and olive oil – sheer heaven on earth – a classic breakfast, lunch, or snack in Spain.

Rustic bread, split
Sliced serrano ham
Manchengo Cheese
Vine ripe tomatoes
Olive oil

Preheat broiler and split or slice rustic bread. Scatter slices of serrano over bread – consider the chewy-ness of your ham, you may want to cut it into smaller pieces. Top with sliced or grated Manchengo cheese, or your favorite cheese.

Place under broiler until cheese is bubbling and the edges are browning. Serve with vine ripe tomatoes and olive oil. – Chef Michaelangelo (mick) Rosacci,
