Vietnamese Coconut Lime Dipping Sauce Print Email

1-2 small fresh hot chiles, seeded and minced
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 TBS roasted peanuts
4 TBS coconut milk
2 TBS fish sauce
juice of one lime
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp chopped cilantro

Pound the chiles with the garlic in a mortar and pestle. Add the peanuts and pound until crushed. Add the coconut milk, fish sauce, lime sugar and cilantro; mix well and adjust to taste.
