Gate's BBQ Meatloaf Print Email

1 egg
1/2 cup condensed milk
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 TBS fine sea salt
6 TBS Gates BBQ Sauce, separated
2 lbs. Ground beef
1 lbs. Pork Country sausage (breakfast sausage)
1/4 cup minced green pepper
1/4 cup minced celery
1/2 cup minced onion
1/2 cup bread crumbs

In large container combine eggs, milk, dry spices and 2 TBS Gates BBQ Sauce and mix well. Add remaining ingredients and mix well to distribute all the ingredients evenly. If the loaf is too wet, additional breadcrumbs can be added.

Roast in covered pan for 45 minutes at 325 degrees. Remove from oven and increase temperature to 425 degrees. Spoon on remaining Gates BBQ sauce and return to oven, roasting uncovered until nicely glazed, about 15 minutes. Remove from oven and rest for 15 minutes before serving. – adapted from Gates BBQ
