Deep Fried Spicy Shrimp Print Email

1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 jalapeno, diced
1/3 cup cornstarch
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoon Chiu Chow Chili Oil
3 tablespoon Minced Garlic

Dust prawn with 1/3 cup of cornstarch, 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp sugar.

Deep-fry prawn in vegetable oil for 2 minutes or until done. Remove and set aside.

In a small saucepan, sauté minced garlic and jalapeno pepper in 2 TBS chili oil for 2 minutes.

Pour sauce over prawn and serve. Serves 4
