Beef and Broccoli Print Email


Easy to make and soon to be a family favorite – or stir in some Chiu Chow Chili Oil for the spicy food lover.

1 tsp. cornstarch
1 oz. water
2 TBS cooking oil
8 oz. top sirloin, rib eye, or tenderloin, cut into thin-flat strips
8 oz. small broccoli florets
2 TBS Chinese Rice Wine or dry sherry
1 tsp. sugar
2 TBS Lee Kum Kee Premium Oyster Flavored Sauce
Ground black pepper, to taste

In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and water; set aside.

In a medium skillet or wok over medium-high heat, heat oil. Add beef and stir-fry until halfway done. Add broccoli and stir-fry 2 minutes longer. Stir in rice wine or sherry, sugar, oyster flavored sauce and pepper. Bring mixture to a boil. Slowly stir in cornstarch mixture and cook until sauce has thickened.

Note: if using rib eye or tenderloin, take care not to overcook.
