Quick & Colorful Shredded Salad Print Email

1/2 cup shredded green cabbage
1/4 cup shredded red cabbage
1 cup shredded head lettuce
1 carrot, cut into matchsticks or thickly zested
1 rib celery, slivered on a bias
1/8 red bell pepper, thinly slivered
grapes, split cherry tomatoes, dried berries
Dressing of your choice

Sliver all your veggies thinly and about 2 - inches long. Just about any salad veggie works well, try to use a colorful assortment of as many veggies as possible. Dress with a complementary prepared or homemade dressing.

This salad stacks nicely - design a lovely salad plate with bits of cheese, fruits, nuts, or whatever complements your salad and dressing. Top with shredded nori, quick fried cellophane noodles, nuts - use your imagination and whatever you like to make this salad 100 ways. – chef mick
