Jack Daniel’s Glazed Bison Steaks Print Email


Grilled bison steaks in a tasty glaze from Bison-guru Sam Arnold of The Fort in Morrison.

Bison steaks, 1 inch thick
Olive oil
Tony's Z Blend or Euro-Crust - or your favorite
Jack Daniels Glaze *recipe follows

Dab steaks dry with paper towels, brush with oil and sprinkle generously with your seasoning of choice and rest 60 minutes at room temperature. Preheat one side of a grill to medium-high (about 375-400°). Brush grate clean and mist or brush with oil - immediately add steaks.

Grill steaks to sear each side well, brush generously with Jack Daniel’s Glaze and transfer to indirect side of grill, close lid and continue to cook steaks to desired internal temperature as they glaze. Remove from heat and rest for 5-10 minutes before serving with more glaze. Also great with Bison Burgers.



Jack Daniels Bison Glaze

1/2 cup Jack Daniels
1/2 cup molasses
1 TBS of Cross & Blackwell steak sauce
3 oz. orange juice concentrate
