Cafe Masala Seasoning Print Email

A simple seasoning rub for beefsteaks and pork chops, and a tasty sprinkle on chicken, fish and even shrimp and scallops.

3/4 tsp fine sea salt
1/2 tsp finely ground espresso coffee
1/2 tsp Garam Masala
1/4 tsp dried chipotle
1/4 tsp granulated lemon zest
1/8 tsp granulated onion

Combine seasonings and rub to taste over steaks and chops, mist with oil and sear in a pan or on the grill. Add a sprinkle to shrimp or scallops and sear in a pan with oil or butter – for a tasty pan sauce, add a splash of cream or orange juice to the pan after cooking and finish with a dab of butter.
