Simple Grilled Halloumi Print Email


8 oz Halloumi cheese, whole
2 TBS fresh oregano or mint leaves
1 TBS olive oil
1 lemon, wedged
Pita bread

Preheat a medium hot grill. Brush the cheese with olive oil and place onto a medium hot grill for 2 minutes on each side, or until marked. At the same time, grill lemon wedges and pita bread.

Remove cheese into 3/8 inch thick slices, assemble on a platter and sprinkle with herbs and squeeze grilled lemons over the top. Serve immediately with grilled pita bread. - Chef Mick
