Three to four 8-10 oz pieces of natural cheese - suggestions below*
1 jar Savory Jam - suggestions below**
½ pint olives and/or pickled veggies - such as long stem artichokes, peppade or marinated mushrooms
Spanish almonds or roasted nut medley
crackers, flatbreads, crostini, ciabatta or baguette
Display the 3-4 cheeses at room temperature on a large platter or cutting board with cheese knives. Drizzle the savory jam over the soft ripened cheese and garnish plate with bowls of olives and/or other pickled veggies and nuts - flatbreads, crackers or rustic breads on the side.
*Choose one soft ripened cheese (such as brie, camembert, Taleggio, St Andre). One full flavored cheese (such as Huntsman, English cheddar, Gruyere, Stilton). One mild semi-soft cheese (Gouda, Edam, Asiago Fresco, Fontina). A spreadable cheese is also nice (chèvre, Boursin, wine cheese ball, Whirl Disks, Sundew).
**Savory Jams - suggestions include Fruit Chutney, Earth & Vine Red Pepper Ancho Jam, Primo Blueberry Jalapeno Jam, Stonewall Kitchens
Other great additions include Spanish Membrillo (quince paste), long stem artichokes, peppadew peppers, marinated mushrooms, cornichons and stuffed grape leaves.
