Fresh Ambrosia Salad Print Email

2 large Tony’s Fruit Cups
one 8-10 jar maraschino cherries, drained and split
1 small package miniature marshmallows - to taste
1 small pkg shredded coconut - to taste
½ cup pecans, chopped
½ - 1 pint crème fraîche, plain or fruit yogurt or low fat sour cream - to taste
garnish: nutmeg (optional)

Drain fruit on paper or kitchen towels, if needed. Drain and split cherries. Combine fruit with marshmallows, coconut and pecans - and either crème fraîche, yogurt (plain or fruit), or sour cream. Serve immediately or chill and serve garnished with grated nutmeg (optional).

Tastes vary a great deal so craft this simple salad to taste: use more marshmallows and fruit yogurt to make it sweeter - or for a less sweet salad reduce marshmallows and use crème fraîche, plain yogurt or sour cream.
