|Simple Biscuits with Sausage Gravy and Eggs
A fine-tuning of an old American classic that couldn’t be easier!
1 pound Tony’s Country Sausage
1 jar Tony’s Homestyle Gravy
12 oven ready biscuits
1 cup shredded cheddar or Jack cheese
hot sauce (or ketchup, or both)
In a large skillet, saute sausage, chopping finely as it cooks. When finely chopped and cooked through, add gravy and bring to a simmer - keep hot until ready to serve.
Meanwhile, bake biscuits according to package directions and cook eggs as desired.
Assembly: Break or cut biscuits in half. Put one dollop of sausage gravy on each plate and top with 2-3 biscuits (shingling the four pieces over the gravy). Top with another dollop of sausage gravy and a sprinkle of cheddar. Serve with eggs with hot sauce on the side (eggs can also be served over the biscuits in a pool of gravy with cheddar and hot sauce on top. Serves 4-6
