3 cups cooked, mashed sweet potatoes or yams
1 stick melted butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 Tbsp. Vanilla
1/3 cup whole milk
cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice if desired
Praline Topping (recipe follows)

Preheat oven to 350° Mix together potatoes, butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla and milk and place in a casserole dish with tall sides to allow room for topping to expand (at least 1 1/2 inch above potato mixture) Bake for 40 minutes. Remove from oven, add topping and continue to bake for 10 minutes longer. Casserole can be prepared up to 3 days in advance or frozen for up to a month.

Praline Topping
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup light brown sugar
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup chopped pecans

Combine all ingredients in a heavy saucepan and bring to a boil; boiling until a few drops form a soft ball in cold water. Pour over sweet potatoes and bake for 10 minutes.
