Myth - Raising pork pollutes the environment with animal wastes.

Brothers Chef Mick, and CEO / head buyer Daniel Rosacci are Tony’s Mythbusters - busting myths and misinformation about foods.

Fact – While there have been documented cases of poor waste management at large corporate Factory Farms – Tony’s Natural USDA Certified Pork is regulated to assure this can never happen.

We’re as serious about earth friendly practices as we are about quality!  That’s why Danny and I regularly visit our suppliers to observe and understand how they achieve quality, and to review and visually their health, environmental, and animal husbandry practices.

Danny and I visited our pork farms in Iowa last year to meet our family pork farmers, veterinarians and packers.  We left loaded with questions about quality, environmental, chemical, and husbandry issues.  We came home quite pleased and loving our Natural Pork more than ever!

Environmental concerns are a top priority of our Natural Pork farms.  To gain Natural Farm Status, our farms are carefully located to assure accidental overflows cannot be caused by flood.  Wastes are stored in approved and regularly inspected cement ponds, and none of these wastes are ever sprayed onto fields.

Tony’s Natural Pork Farms are all independently owned and family operated in Iowa.  Their system for raising natural pork with no negative environmental impact and no chemical residues are certified by the USDA.

Using superior breeding, natural chemical-free feed, sanitary conditions, as well as responsible animal husbandry and waste management practices; Tony’s Natural Pork offers a superior product from family farms working in harmony with the earth.
