Seafood - Hawaiian Style
Hawaiian Grilled Fish Filets
4-6 servings of your favorite seafood - any grill-able fish will do - salmon, halibut, mahimahi, tuna, ono, marlin, or shrimp 1 TBS Sambal (Asian Chili and Garlic Sauce) 1 TBS ginger, minced 2 TBS minced garlic 1/4 cup white sugar 1/4 cup Oyster Sauce 1/2 cup light soy sauce 1/4 cup water 2 TBS sesame seeds 2 TBS green onion, sliced thin Thai Chilli Sauce to taste - optional
Rinse seafood and pat dry.
Combine remaining ingredients and mix well. Taste for seasoning, if too salty, add more water. Combine with seafood in a plastic bag and marinate in refrigerator for 1-4 hours. Remove fish and discard marinade.
Grill over direct medium to medium high heat, cooking to medium or well done as desired. Brush with Thai Chilli sauce, if desired and serve. --- |
